Thankful List 2017

In college, my "mentor" Brett Rodgers, always made me write down ten things I was thankful for.  He never relented about practicing thankfulness, ultimately unto the Lord for receiving grace and mercy when we deserved death, but for everything we have everyday.  Every year or at the end of a new season, I take time to process and write down everything that I am thankful for from that season.       Here are a few snippets from my 2017 list... +Michael being accepted into medical school +Hudson Shepherd born in April +an amazing and healthy birth +all the meals and support during the first months of being parents +great neighbors in our new apartment +new friends and a growing community in a new city +the opportunity to work from home and to start a small business +God's provision for our family month to month +mom's workout class where I can get out everyday and be with friends +the opportunity to lead a college Young Life small group, to be in the Word together and to get to know those girls +more depth, involvement, and relationships in our church      What a year 2016 has been!  This year seemed impossible in so many ways and God has parted the sea and led us through.  I am so thankful!
